Do I still have to manually test each unit or visually inspect them every month?
No, however, you may if you wish.
What potential interference issues may there be due to the system being wireless?
The Zigbee 16 channel hop ability maintains signal integrity. We have no expectation of you having interference issues.
What’s the upside of going from our standard exit lights and signs to this wireless system?
It is likely your facility maintenance team does not have the time, resources, or motivation to actually test every unit, every month, as per code. Even though you know you are supposed to do it such a task takes a long time every month and is many times ignored. This system does it all for you so you can know your occupants are safe, your business legal risk is truncated, and when there is an issue the app manager is aware of what the issue is and which unit needs attention. Additionally, in light of the COVID-19 environment that does not appear to be going away, this wireless system reduces your staff time in physically walking to every unit and reduces physical touch points which helps you lower your risks in regards to viral and bacterial transmission.
Can we simply integrate the iES wireless drivers into our exiting line fixtures?
It is easy to convert luminaires by using our iES battery backup LED drivers. It is too complicated to convert existing exit signs or combo due to the added module needed to integrate with the circuitry, thus we offer the complete system needed.
What is the maximum range of the signal?
Our control network is based on a “mesh network” infrastructure. Each unit runs in accordance with all other units with a maximum range between any two at 100 meters. Each unit has an amplifier to assist signal strength.
What all is being provided in the offering?
The LynxEM is a self-contained total solution; exits signs, lights, drivers, gateway, and app. There is no need to source additional hardware or fixtures to complete the offering.
